Wish You Were Here is the second mural in a series of four commissioned works by Australian husband and wife team Dabsmyla. In their signature style, the beloved visual artists bring to life a smile-inducing fantasy world that is simultaneously representative of Florida and the love between them.

In this magical space rendered in a Crayola-like color motif, cartoonish characters and images interact with the text-based message which, in its entirety, reads:
"Wish You Were Here. Shine On!" Within the postcard’s whimsical composition, a toothy pink crocodile appears poised to eat the word “Here,” even while he rests atop a dialogue balloon that exclaims "Shine On!" Seemingly oblivious to the croc’s mischief, a beaming sun smiles brightly, intent on properly representing the Sunshine State.

Punctuated by exclamation points, shooting stars, diamonds, a heart, and even a map of Florida, the work also incorporates a wind-swept palm tree and a cross-section of dancing waves. The riot of elements heightens the excitement and dynamic movement Dabsmyla so masterfully conveys. And by bringing together so many disparate images into a harmonious whole, the husband and wife team proclaim the seamless unity that binds them together.
